Words from Sister Brittany Platt in Colorado

Olo everybody!

I have like no time, so sorry this will be short! But, we had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We ate two dinners and got super stuffed! And, we got permission from President to go visit Tina in the hospital. She got a blessing and she's out now and doing better. We're going to see her Thursday!

We had an amazing two miracles this week:One, we got a referral from the Denver South mission for an Indian lady named Ranjeeta. Sister Dennis went and taught her when we were on exchanges and said she's such an awesome lady and so excited about the gospel! We're meeting with her again on Saturday and I'm so thrilled to meet her!

The second miracle is Sophia came to church again with her aunt Kirsten. Sophia went to Utah for Thanksgiving to visit all of her Mormon family and had a wonderful time! Her aunt Kirsten loved church and we had a huge discussion in Sunday School about the Word of Wisdom because she had a lot of questions. She said she wanted us to teach her, so she invited us and the Hollingsworths (the missionary couple in our ward) over for dinner and a lesson on Tuesday!!!! Then, she texted us later that night and told us how excited she was to be on this spiritual journey and how grateful she was for us in her life. It truly was one of the most wonderful things I've ever experienced! Last Monday Sophia had texted us right after we got done e-mailing saying her aunt wanted a Book of Mormon, so we took one over to her that night and she's been reading it. Can I just say how golden and prepared this wonderful women is?! Man, missionary work is amazing! And so joyful!! We're just thrilled to be a part of this amazing woman's life at this time and to teach her about the restored gospel. God is SO good!

Also, I hope you all will go watch the new Christmas video that just came out yesterday, and check out the website: christmas.mormon.org. There's a paper you can download and write on and take a picture with it and then post it online. I encourage everyone to do this and to share the video with as many people as possible! There's pass-along cards for it that you can get online or from your local missionaries. This initiative is huge!!!! Please don't pass up this wonderful opportunity to share it with your friends. Remember, Christ is the reason for the season! When this initiative first came out last year, it's what got us in with Jeff and Sarah, my first converts on the mission. So, I have a huge testimony about this initiative! It truly changes lives!

I love you all and hope you have a wonderful, missionary-filled week! God bless you all!

Love, Sister Platt
