"Hello everyone! I realized I didn't even wish you a Happy Thanksgiving last week! Sorry about that. I hope you had a wonderful time!
This week has been a bit chaotic. But, I absolutely love it here! We found out that this area has never had sisters, ever! I thought it was just in the last ten years, but apparently it's been never! So, no pressure right? :) It just makes me more motivated to be even better! The area we cover is half our mission! It's HUGE!!!! But, I feel right at home. People out here are a bit more humble and we have a ton of former investigators and potential investigators to visit and a few investigators to teach! We've had a few small miracles this week. Nothing huge, but miracles none the less!
Our apartment is now clean and we got a shower curtain! Hooray! As part of our finding ideas this week, we made cookies for all of our neighbors and met most of them and gave away pass along cards. We're hoping to establish good relationships with them and eventually teach them. Our neighbor next door is about my age with 2 kids and she was really excited to meet us! She even told us what days she's home and invited us to stop by anytime! :) So, I have big plans for her. So, the elders before us didn't leave us enough miles for the week and we went over a bit. But we prayed to the Lord that He would keep us under 2,000 miles and yesterday when we checked at the end of the night, we were at 1999.5!! Haha. I love the Lord and how He answers prayers!!! We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at our Ward Mission Leader's home. His wife is the Relief Society President and they're a wonderful family. They had four other families over from the ward, including a less-active family. We shared a wonderful message, ate lots of good food, and then went and did service for one of the families. There's a lot of less-actives out here and the Relief Society President gave us a big list of sisters to help her visit. We were successful in getting a hold of two of them and setting up appointments. Something cool that happened is we went to a trailer park looking for a potential investigator and ended up meeting a family that were all outside working on their truck. We found out that the wife's sister and her husband recently joined the church! The wife said that she is looking for God right now and trying to get a better relationship with him. We were able to set up a time to come back and visit them next week! The husband's brother is also Mormon but the husband isn't too interested. As we were walking away, he said "don't blame me if you get converted from our visit" (he said he would convert us from being Mormon), and I said, "Well, don't blame us if you get converted and become a Mormon!" He laughed and I'm excited to visit them again.

We taught one investigator this week and one recent convert. We invited our investigator to church but she didn't show up. She knows the BOM is true, but she has a hard time committing to things. I've decided I just need to be bold with her and help her fight against Satan. We did service with a part-member family and a less-active family and are hoping to help them as much as we can. We've also got big plans for this week so I'm excited to get things rolling here. The ward's great and they're all very excited to have sisters. What a wonderful place to be serving!
Well, thank you all for continuing to support and pray for me! I truly feel humble to be serving here. It's hard hearing about so many other missionaries having baptisms, and I haven't had any yet, but I know the work I'm doing is acceptable to the Lord and I'm doing all I can to bring others to this gospel. I have so much to work on and so much to improve on and I'm grateful for this chance to give my all in the service of the Lord.
Have a wonderful week and a wonderful Christmas season! Please, please, please do not be too busy for the missionaries. Especially this season. Invite them into your homes no matter what time of day. Let them teach you and serve you in any way and capacity. Give your friends to them to teach. Help them be obedient. Love them, even if you don't think they're that great of missionaries! Missions are hard and these missionaries need as much love and encouragement and support from members as they can get. Please don't ever turn them away or tell them you're too busy. Don't ever be too busy for the servants of the Lord!!! They're doing the greatest work on this earth and they need you to work hand in hand with them.
Love you all and God bless you!"
