Words from Elder Brandon Day in Oklahoma

"I hope everyone had a Happy Christmas! It has been a strange week being away from home, but I've enjoyed it! I was happy to Skype my family for an hour! But we had a lot to eat on Christmas. We had lunch at a member's home, then we went to an investigator's home and had dinner with his family. His name is Marty LeCrone, and he was the only nonmember. He is such a cool guy, we talk a lot about trucks and welding and we get along great! But they had a huge meal prepared for us and we had a great time. We watched the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and Mr. Kruegar's Christmas! He was finally baptized on Saturday and it was such a great experience. I gave a short little talk on the Holy Ghost. But I was really excited for him and to be a part of it. He is having us over for dinner again on Saturday to have his famous Dorito casserole, and I have to eat more than him or I won't have his respect! Challenge accepted! But the holidays are almost over and we'll be able to visit a lot more people and we plan on setting more baptism dates. I was on exchanges with one of the zone leaders last Monday in a city called Enid, fun place! But we went to see one of their investigators and he welcomed us and everything then just went off on us and was yelling and said he shook his fist at God because his life was hard. And he felt that we were forcing baptism on him and he wasn't ready for it yet and it was too soon, but he was the one that set the date for when he wanted to be baptized! It was a rough time but we finally calmed him down and made him feel better. He is loving the Book of Mormon and wanted to keep reading it. He plays the guitar/sings and he sang us a song before we left and it was actually pretty good! Something I won't forget! But all in all it was a great week, I hope everyone had a great Christmas!"
