Words from Elder Garrett Hollembeak in West Virginia

"Hello Everyone!

How are you guys? It was a great week in Parkersburg. I'm getting more
used to my new area and we're meeting a lot of great people. We had
one of our investigators come to church this week, his name is Rusty
and he's been coming for the last couple of weeks but he's struggling
with the Word of Wisdom and reading through the Doctrine and Covenants
to understand section 89. He has a lot more faith than he gives
himself credit and I think he knows that the Book of Mormon is true.
We also met with a lady named Amanda. She grew up with a pretty
diverse religious background and is really receptive to listening and
learning. She has two boys 9 and 11 that have both read a good amount
from the Book of Mormon. We're hoping that she'll come to church this
next week and really start moving towards baptism. One of our
investigators in Charleston is getting baptized this Sunday and it
sounds like he's doing great. It's been a big focus in our mission to
be unified and focused in the work, that way we can all celebrate the
successes and help support in the difficult times. We're working on
having a unified zone and so far everyone is doing really well. In
just the last couple of weeks the number of baptismal dates and
investigators at sacrament have gone up a lot. We are excited for what
lies ahead. I hope you guys have a great week and that you know how
much I love you!"
