"so this last week was pretty cool. we had a zone
conference meeting that went from 9:00 to 5:00. it was really long, but good. a
few more changes have been made and we're really expressing the unity between
members and missionaries. and since that conference, there have been some
awesome miracles!! the other day, the ward that i go to had an annual corn
roast. so my companion and i showed up to help set up some tables and stuff.
After a few minutes of helping them set up, this guy walks around the corner and
his name is Roy. Now i met roy about two months ago on a companionship exchange
and we talked to him about the Restoration. then we told him about the young
single adult ward that was about 20 minutes away from his house.he seemed pretty
interested and so we gave him our card, but haven't heard from him since. so it
was a suprise to see him at this ward activity. so later on that night, the same
day we met roy, we were passing on some information to the sister missionaries
about this guy named sam who lived in their area that we met on that same day.
so two months later, the day of the corn roast, the sister missionaries were
trying to call this guy named sam and invite him to the activity. it turns out,
when we passed on sams information, we accidentally gave the sister missionaries
sams name, but roys number. so when they called the number, roy answered and so
they ended up inviting roy. he showed up, and absolutely loved it! the members
were awesome and really made him feel comfortable and now he is a progressing
investigator and is preparing to be baptized on october 11th! and i know that
this just sounds like a stupid mistake that was made by a couple of teenagers,
but i've been on my mission long enough to know that the lord really works
through mysterious and cool ways. some will say it was just an easy coincidence,
but i've seen to many miracles already to deny this of being one as well. I'm
grateful to be a missionary even though its tough and there are definitely a lot
more things that i'd want to be doing, but i can say that it has changed me as a
person, and all of you young cousins and friends, look forward to your missions
and if i could give any advice, i'd say start preparing now. Go to seminary. i
love you all so much! and please keep praying for me:)"
