Words from Sister Elese Hauser in Illinois
"Well another week has come and gone within the blink of an eye! I feel
like Mondays are every other day and not once a week. It's been a week
full of unpredicted moments and nothing we planned ended up happening.
We were supposed to go to 2 Zone Training Meetings and train about
finding people to teach but President and Sister Fenn got sick and it
got postponed to this week. So of course that messed with our whole
exchange schedule for this transfer. That was fun to redo!
There really isn't a lot to report on is week. All of our investigates
decided to get sick or go on vacation this week. Last night we felt
the sudden prompting to go stop by 2 former investigators. They are 10
year old boys and they're a handful! Their Dad is a less active member
and they were taught towards baptism but then had to be dropped
because their parents weren't as supportive. So anyways we stopped by
and ended up teaching them. But since they're crazy 10 year olds we
had to get creative. And they have a 4 year old sister who kept
bringing us stuffed animals so we ended up doing a puppet show of the
restoration lesson. It was quite entertaining if I do say so myself :)
And then the Dad randomly made us grilled cheese sandwiches and gave
us juice boxes! I felt like a little kid again after that lesson! Haha
so we'll see where that goes. And right after that we stopped by our
investigator Kathy. She is still on date for October 11 so that's a
miracle in and of itself! And Roy is still him awesome and elect
self! He said he's sick of waiting in line and he's ready to get going
with his baptism. He is so awesome!
This email is going to b a short one this week. Sorry to disappoint
but we don't have a lot of time and I don't have a lot of energy. By
preparation day this week I'm pretty exhausted. So I hope you are all
doing well. Know that I love you all. This church is true. Have a good
week!"
